His bass guitar work can be heard on all of the recordings made by the 1960s pop group, Gerry & The Pacemakers. Chadwick originally did not own a bass guitar, and played a standard Fender Stratocaster with the bass setting exaggerated.

31 de dic. de 2019 · TRIBUTES have been paid to Les Chadwick, one of the original members of Gerry and The Pacemakers, who has died at the age of 76. Les, who was diagnosed with Stage Four brain cancer four weeks ago and had started undergoing treatment, died peacefully, in his sleep, on Boxing Day.
