The College buildings are centred on Shiplake Court, which dates back to 1889. Having begun life as a fine Victorian family home, Shiplake Court now houses the traditional Great Hall and a number of smaller rooms which can be utilised to create a perfect day for every couple.
The Multi-Sport Camps are for boys and girls going into Years 5 to 8 in September 2024.This year there is also a two-night residential option for those going into Years 6 and 7. The camps are designed to be inclusive and fun for all participants, with a view to develop skills in a range of different sports, meet new friends and learn from our excellent coaches.
Shiplake College is a selective school but we do not select on academic ability alone. In each intake we admit pupils across a range of abilities. We look for pupils who will make the most of the opportunities and challenges that will lie ahead of them at the College and who will, in turn, contribute to and enrich the Shiplake community.

Whilst enjoying a beautiful countryside setting, Shiplake College is highly accessible via private and public transport. We are situated approximately 40 minutes from Heathrow Airport and 20 minutes from Reading Station, with easy access to the M4 and M40 motorways.
The College prides itself on implementing innovative multi-sensory teaching methods in the classroom wherever possible. This is achieved by incorporating various forms of modern technology, recruiting passionate staff with a natural ability to inspire young people, and challenging our teachers to use various learning methods to suit every pupil.
Shiplake College is an HMC co-educational boarding and day school offering a holistic education for around 520 pupils from Year 7 to Sixth Form. There has been a co-educational Sixth Form since 1998 and in September 2023 girls joined in Year 7 as we look to the future as a fully co-educational place of learning.
