Gordonstoun ist eine internationale schottische Privatschule. Sie befindet sich nördlich von Elgin an dem Moray Firth. Sie wurde 1934 von dem aus Deutschland geflohenen Reformpädagogen Kurt Hahn gegründet, auf den auch die Schulen Schloss Salem, Birklehof und Louisenlund zurückgehen.

Gordonstoun’s founder, Kurt Hahn, was keen to extend his educational ethos to the local community and not just those in the School. He therefore set up the Moray Badge (the precursor to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) which started at Gordonstoun and Elgin Academy in 1936 and then spread to other schools in Moray.

Day. £17,705. £12,865. Overnight boarding for day pupils, subject to availability, costs £68.00 per night in addition to the day fee. Unlike many other Schools the fees cover virtually everything in Gordonstoun’s very broad curriculum including expeditions and sail training and most weekend activities for boarders.
