When Mr. Kent announces he can’t join his wife on their cruise, she hires a nightclub singer, Georgia Garrett, to pose as her. The untrusting Mrs. Kent stays at a hotel near home so she can spy on her husband. However her husband has hired a detective to keep an eye on her at sea.
Romance on the High Seas has a funny plot and is definitely worth watching. Above all, it's filmed in splendid technicolor, giving a vibrant look at the world of the 40s, including Rio de Janeiro.

Absolutely charming musical romance comedy featuring an amazing debut from Doris Day. A lot of fun and plenty of laughs, though today's audience, or least those around my age (35-40), this will remind you of a plot straight out of a sit-com with the mistaken identity aspect. Still, really entertaining. 3.75/5
