William Wordsworth. William Wordsworth (* 7. April 1770 in Cockermouth, Großbritannien; † 23. William Wordsworth died on April 23rd, 1850, at his home in Rydal Mount from complications associated with pleurisy. His poem, ‘ The Prelude,’ was published posthumously by his wife.
