Here there is a pullover bay where vehicles can stop and check out the view of Taganga and the bay. I recommend just asking your taxi driver to stop here on the way to/from Santa Marta. Otherwise, you can hike here from Taganga too. 10.
Taganga is a traditional fishing village and corregimiento of Santa Marta, located on the Caribbean coast of Colombia at about 10 minutes or 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of Santa Marta. Both Santa Marta and Taganga were founded by Rodrigo de Bastidas on July 29, 1525, making them two of the oldest remaining colonial settlements in present-day Colombia.
Taganga is easily accessible by bus from Santa Marta’s downtown market. It takes just 15 minutes and costs only a few thousand pesos. Alternatively, you can get a taxi which will set you back a little more. If you’re coming from elsewhere in Colombia, you first need to get to Santa Marta, then catch onward transport to Taganga.
