8 de abr. de 2021 · Jane McDonald has announced the death of her long-term fiance, musician Eddie Rothe, following a cancer diagnosis. The news was confirmed "with immense sadness" on the singer and TV presenter's official social media sites on Wednesday, shortly after his funeral.
In turn, in 2010 Eddie Rothe left The Searchers after becoming engaged to singer Jane McDonald, and was replaced on 26 February by Scott Ottaway. The original bassist for the Searchers, Tony West (born 1938 in Liverpool), died in his sleep on 11 November 2010, aged 72 in Hightown, Merseyside .
