Hace 3 días · In 1831 Edward Smith Stanley, afterwards thirteenth earl, was summoned to the House of Lords as Baron Stanley of Bickerstaffe. The hall is a shooting box of the earl of Derby. Court rolls from 1735 are preserved at Knowsley.

In 1552 Edward granted the estate to Joan Wilkinson, to whom Thomas Winston granted his claim in 1555.
