Hace 5 días · Jean Dubuffet was the first to recognise the artistic quality of work produced spontaneously by social outcasts – self-taught artists he encountered in psychiatric hospitals, prisons and elsewhere. He called their work Art Brut, and gathered countless examples – which in 1971 he donated to the city of Lausanne.
