Hace 5 días · These shorts were Lambert the Sheepish Lion (1952, Disney) and Rooty Toot Toot (1951, UPA). Both of these were strong films ( Rooty Toot Toot is one of UPA's best). This Tom and Jerry film was the only one of these shorts to star reoccurring characters as the other two shorts were one-shots (though the stork from Dumbo (1941) has a supporting role in Lambert the Sheepish Lion ).
Hace 6 días · The dancer's verbal response to Triple Scoot is 'Rooty-toot-Toot'. Triple Scoot is really a Grand Scoot Back. Triple Scoot is somewhat of a misnomer in modern square dance terminology. See Grand Follow Your Neighbor [A1] for a discussion of the 'Grand' CONCEPT.
Hace 6 días · Jolson, not in blackface this time, is singing "Toot, Toot, Tootsie, Goodbye" in what seems to be a clip from "The Jazz Singer," which is said to be the first sound movie, but only the songs are recorded on the soundtrack. The rest is titles like the typical silent movie.
