Hace 4 días · If I took all the movies traveling today under the after-the-fact French critics’ genre invention film noir, In a Lonely Place, which I go into at some length in ‘A Talk in Tulsa,’ from 1923, which you can find here, would be at the top—along with Detour, Out of the Past, and The Strange Love of Martha Ivers.
