The Chinese mission Tianwen-1 consisted of an orbiter and a small rover, Zhurong, which landed on Mars on May 14.

There are two basic classes of missions that follow from the orbital motions of Mars and Earth. In opposition-class missions, the round-trip time is 500–600 days, with 30 days spent on Mars.
