David & the Citizens was a Swedish rock band formed in 1999 in Skåne. In 2022 David moved back to Sweden to pursue happiness in doing what he loves most (composing and creating music). History. The band was created in 1999 by the singer and songwriter David Fridlund. With a couple of already-recorded songs he moved from Stockholm to Malmö.

Swedish indie pop band David & the Citizens was begun by vocalist/guitarist David Fridlund in 1999, who by 2000 recruited Conny Fridh (bass), Alexander Madsen (guitar), Mikael Carlsson (drums), and Magnus Bjerkert (trumpet).
