Hace 5 días · I’ve read tons of Himes short stories, many of which are bleak portrayals of imprisoned Black men in the 1930’s so this is a comedic departure… a lightweight technicolor Harlem spectacle that is amusing. BTW my band Frumious Bandersnatch did a local SF TV show for kids in ‘68 with Godfrey Cambridge, who was delight to work with .
