Hace 4 días · Newer Gibson Les Pauls (2015 and newer?) come with stock 500KΩ pots, so they are not as "muddy" as older models with 350KΩ pots. The 490/498 humbuckers sound better for higher gain rock and blues, and the Burstbuckers have more treble response and are more versatile, IMO.

The front of the headstock is free of repair and the ‘Les Paul Junior’ gold silkscreen has avoided being polished out. The neck has a larger than average ’62 slim ‘C’ profile that measures 21.4mm at the 1st fret increasing to 23.4mm at the 12th.
Hace 4 días · I picked up this 1991 Les Paul Studio. It’s a great guitar. I’m not much of a Les Paul guy, I’ve owned a few of them, and they always end up getting sold. Let’s see if this one cuts the mustard and sticks around. I got it for a good price, and the signature did not add any value to the asking price.
Hace 3 días · All kidding aside, one of my favorite guitarists, especially in regard to a Les Paul player, is TOP’s Bruce Conte. Man, he was killer! Bruce played an all-mahogany ’57 goldtop, so much so that he’d worn through the cover of the neck pickup!
