Hace 21 horas · The creature was allegedly a toy submarine built by Christian Spurling, the son-in-law of Marmaduke Wetherell. Spurling admitted in January 1991 that the photo was a hoax. Sonar and underwater investigations. Over the years, sonar technology and underwater surveys have yielded varying results.

Hace 3 días · In 1933, big game hunter Marmaduke Wetherell "found" footprints left by the Loch Ness Monster. It was later discovered that the footprints matched those of a hippopotamus, and were made using a stuffed hippopotamus foot, one of Wetherell's big game trophies.

Hace 1 día · On Wetherell's death in 1846 his widow sold the house to Samuel Pratt, an upholsterer of New Bond Street, who converted it into two houses. A complete rebuilding does not seem to have taken place, but very extensive alterations were made to the designs of the architect Thomas Little.
