Corey Woods (born January 12, 1970), better known by his stage name Raekwon (/ r eɪ ˈ k w ɒ n /, ray-KWON), is an American rapper. He rose to prominence as a founding member of the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan , which achieved mainstream success following the release of their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) , in 1993.

Raekwon's debut studio album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., was released in August 1995. It featured all but one member of the Wu-Tang Clan, and featured the debut of Cappadonna, who later joined the group. The album is also credited with reviving the mafioso rap subgenre.
After dominating rap with Wu-Tang’s debut Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), Raekwon ensured the Clan takeover with the release of his acclaimed solo debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… in 1995.
