This was the first release to feature Kyle Thomas and was produced by Bill Metoyer. Shortly after its release, Rob Hultz of Solace and Godspeed joined the band as a bassist. In 2014, Wartell announced that Trouble had begun working on new material for the follow-up to The Distortion Field.
