Armchair Cinema is a British television drama anthology series of one-off plays that ran on the ITV network between 1974-1975. It was produced by Euston Films in conjunction with Thames Television. The series was a spin-off from the long running anthology series Armchair Theatre.

ITV1. Charlie Muffin doesn’t ‘fit in’ with the ‘old school tie’ model of espionage agent: despite his flirtatious relationship with Cuthbertson’s Moneypenny-esque secretary, Charlie is no romantic James Bond-style globetrotting spy, but rather a down-at-heels intelligence agent in the manner of Callan or Harry Palmer.
With John Thaw, Dennis Waterman, Lee Montague, Garfield Morgan. A Flying Squad officer is led a merry dance by gangsters from a London pub and, although he survives a brutal beating, he subsequently dies. Enter John Thaw's vengeful and unconventional copper Jack Regan.
