Sarah Sze (/ ˈ z iː /; born 1969) is an American artist and professor of visual arts at Columbia University. Sze's work explores the role of technology, information, and memory with objects in contemporary life utilizing everyday materials. Her work often represents objects caught in suspension.
Sarah Sze created a series of site-specific installations that weave a trail of discovery through multiple spaces of the Guggenheim’s iconic Frank Lloyd Wright building. The exhibition explored how time is marked and experienced through various mediums, including painting, sculpture, sound, video, and architecture.
