This is the First Complete Recording of the Pulitzer Prize winning South Pacific from the award winning team of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The recording utilises the original orchestrations, and is performed by the National Symphony Orchestra, under the highly acclaimed conductor John Owen Edwards.

This 1996 studio cast album, the first “complete” recording of the show’s score, was recorded at Abbey Studios in London for TER Records. The cast includes Paige O’Hara, who played the lead in an Australian production, and Justino Diaz, who played Emile de Becque for the New York City Opera.

Justino Diaz has a deep rich voice that brings a certain sort of majesty to the role of Emile De Becque. He presents a powerful reading of ‘Some Enchanted Evening’, the recurring motif throughout the show.
