David Freeman is best known for co-writing the Annie Lennox hit single 'No More “I Love Youʼsˮ' with Joseph Hughes, former bassist for The Flys. After the break-up of The Lover Speaks in 1988, he pursued a solo career, recording several solo albums in the 1990s.

David Freeman is an American novelist, screenwriter, playwright, and journalist who studied playwriting and dramatic literature at the Yale Drama School and currently teaches screenwriting seminars in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife Judith Gingold.
David Freeman is a recovering screenwriter and the author of two previous novels, two collections of short stories, and a memoir of his time writing a script for director Alfred Hitchcock. His play, Jesse and the Bandit Queen, was produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival at the Public Theater and has since been performed around the world.
