David Michael Mountbatten, III marqués de Milford Haven (12 de mayo de 1919 - 14 de abril de 1970), titulado vizconde Alderney antes de 1921 y conde de Medina entre 1921 y 1938, era hijo del segundo marqués de Milford Haven y de la condesa Nadejda de Torby.
Lieutenant David Michael Mountbatten, 3rd Marquess of Milford Haven, OBE, DSC (12 May 1919 – 14 April 1970), styled Viscount Alderney before 1921 and Earl of Medina between 1921 and 1938, was the son of George Mountbatten, 2nd Marquess of Milford Haven and Countess Nadejda Mikhailovna of Torby.
The Mountbatten family are a branch of the German house of Battenberg. The Battenberg family was a morganatic branch of the House of Hesse-Darmstadt, rulers of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in Germany.
Like his father and grandfather, and of course his illustrious uncle - Mountbatten, in January 1933, David joined the Royal Navy and attended the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth with his cousin - Prince Philip of Greece & Denmark, later Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh (1921-2021).

29 de sept. de 2019 · The Mountbattens left India in 1948 and Edwina returned every year until her death in 1960. She continued her humanitarian work, travelling the world on behalf of St John Ambulance. When she died, in Malaysia, aged just 59, she was found surrounded by love letters from Nehru.
