Arc Iris is an American indie rock band from Providence, Rhode Island, United States, that began in 2012 as a solo project of Jocie Adams, formerly a member of The Low Anthem.
Jocie Adams, is an American musician, composer, vocalist, songwriter and actress. While studying at Brown University she began to create her own self-styled music beginning with classical composition. In 2007 Jocie Adams joined the indie folk music band Low Anthem, supplying vocals, clarinet, dulcimer, organ and piano.
The band became a trio again in late 2007 with the addition of classical composer and clarinetist Jocie Adams, then, a fellow student, who joined the band after a late-night recording session for the band's album "What The Crow Brings".
