Walk Through This World with the Folk Implosion is the first EP by The Folk Implosion. It was released on cassette by Chocolate Monk in 1993 and re-released on 7" vinyl in 1994 on Drunken Fish Records.
11 de sept. de 2021 · After completing a handful of 4-track songs they shortened the name to The Folk Implosion and compiled Walk Through This World (borrowing the title from a George Jones song) for release on the U.K. label , Chocolate Monk (1993). It maps their very rough, impulsive, lo-fi beginnings.
It’s the process they used on their debut cassette, Walk Through This World with the Folk Implosion, and one they’ve returned to 30 years later on their spellbinding, self-referencing reunion, Walk Thru Me.
The Folk Implosion released Walk Through This World with the Folk Implosion on cassette in 1993 on the Communion Label and as a 7-inch EP in 1994 on Drunken Fish. The band's status was relatively obscure before Larry Clark's film Kids, and its soundtrack, most of which contained original compositions by Barlow and Davis.
