Jarvis Collegiate Institute is a high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is named after Jarvis Street where it is located. It is a part of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).
Founded in 1807, Jarvis CI was the first public high school in Toronto and has a long tradition of academic excellence and student involvement. Jarvis is committed to providing a rich and varied program encouraging critical thinking as well as developing research and communication skills.

Jarvis offers a wide range of courses, programs, and extra-curricular activities. As a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) school, the students in our classrooms are engaged in project-based learning.
Key features of Jarvis CI: Jarvis has recently been designated as a Math, Science and Technology (MST) Program school through the Central program application process. We are excited to bring this program to Jarvis for September 2024! The application opens Monday, November 6th.
30 de oct. de 2016 · The artist George Reid began work in May of 1928 and finished by July of 1929. Reid was assisted by Lorna Claire, a former student at Jarvis. His theme was Canadian history, with an emphasis on the early years of European discovery, culminating in a tribute to those who fought in World War I.
