Linked Bachelor’s-Master’s Degree in Philosophy. > Undergraduate > Program Options > Philosophy BA-MA. The department welcomes applications from Michigan State University undergraduate philosophy majors who have attained at least junior status (60 credits completed).
BA-MA Program in Linguistics. The dual-enrollment BA-MA is an integrated program in which some credits taken to fulfill your undergraduate requirements can be counted toward fulfilling the requirements for an M.A. as well.
Satisfy the general requirements of the university and college for the Ph.D. degree (The university requires one year of residence (2 consecutive semesters and 6 credits); normally students spend three or more years in residence.)
The Linked B.A. - M.A. Program allows students to complete a bachelor's and master's degree within five years. Undergraduate students may apply to earn credits toward a graduate degree, earning a master's effectively and efficiently.

The Philosophy Department offers undergraduate courses at several levels. Our 100-level courses lay the groundwork in logic and critical thinking. Then at the 200-level, students are introduced to the discipline of philosophy – classic philosophical texts, views, vocabulary, and modes of argument.
