Having spent a lifetime of summers on Martha’s Vineyard surrounded by ocean, Harney developed a connection with natural forms, Lagoons, marshes, ocean, beaches and plants. Her work through the landscape has influenced her paintings.
Anne Harney's paintings create a path of self-discovery. Reassembling pieces together from memory and imagination using textures, patterns and transparent layers make the viewer question what is seen. Anne is a Boston based painter who received her BFA with Honors from Mass College of Art in 2011.
