Best Of Gabor Szabo In The CTI Years. While this Japanese CD release is the only collection highlighting Gabor Szabo’s noteworthy CTI years (1972-75), it is very likely an unofficial and unauthorized release. It does not appear to be issued by King Records, the Japanese owner of the CTI catalog.

28 de mar. de 2022 · An influential jazz guitarist, famous for mixing jazz, pop-rock, and his native Hungarian music. Inspired by jazz music heard on Voice Of America radio broadcasts, Szabó began playing guitar at the age of 14. Escaping Hungary in 1956 and moving to the US where he attended the Berkeley School Of Music in Boston.

25 de feb. de 2011 · Guitarist Gabor Szabo (1936-82) made a big noise in the early 1960s as part of Chico Hamilton's quintet. Szabo, who had one of the most unique sounds in jazz, later went on to play in Charles Lloyd's first quartet and as part of Gary McFarland's group before making a splash on his own.
