Gotfrid (or Gottfried) Köchert (22 March 1918 – 6 November 1986), a scion of the Viennese jeweller A. E. Köchert, went on to become a yacht racer after World War II, and competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics.

Gotfrid Köchert fue un empresario austríaco nacido en 1815, conocido principalmente por ser el propietario de la famosa joyería Köchert. La empresa fue fundada en 1814 por su padre, Jakob Köchert, y se convirtió en una de las más prestigiosas y reconocidas del mundo.
Gotfrid Kochert conoció a Gusti Huber en un congreso de matemáticas en Viena. Kochert estaba fascinado por el discurso de Huber sobre la teoría de números y su habilidad para explicar conceptos complejos de manera sencilla.
Gotfrid Köchert was a wealthy jeweller and a successful automobile racer who competed in the Mille Miglia, Nürburgring and Le Mans. He also participated in the 1960 Rome Olympics in sailing and finished 17th in 5.5 metres class.
Gotfrid Köchert war der bekannteste österreichische Autorennfahrer der 1950er-Jahre. Ob seiner Herkunft als Spross der Wiener Juwelierdynastie A. E. Köchert wurde er der „rasende Juwelier“ genannt.
