Controlled Bleeding was an experimental music group based in Massapequa, New York. The group was founded by Paul Lemos, the group's only consistent member. Most of Controlled Bleeding's released recordings feature two main collaborators, Chris Moriarty and vocalist Joe Papa, who both died in the late 2000s.

21 de dic. de 2000 · Controlled Bleeding moves with ease from ambient-industrial to neo-classical to even touches of the World Serpent sound. The only misstep is the central track, “Scourge,” which is way too long and unfocused, moving off into the “experimental” side of things.
Golgotha is an overlooked album by the seminal and multi-faceted band Controlled Bleeding. 'Swoon' is a moody tribal dark ambient, which leads into the almost breathtaking 'Standing in Twilight', one of the band's most melodic songs.
