The Dark Lord of Derkholm, simply Dark Lord of Derkholm in the United States, is a fantasy novel by the British author Diana Wynne Jones, published autumn 1998 in both the U.K. and the U.S. It won the 1999 Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Children's Literature.

Plot. Everyone in the world is suffering from the pilgrim tours (except the innkeepers, priests, and thieves). So, Querida decides to ask the oracles how to stop the tours. Thus Derk is selected to be the next Dark Lord and Blade is assigned as wizard-guide to the last wizarding tour.
