4 de ene. de 2022 · We choose whether to allow a “no” from God to shatter our faith or build it up; a “no” from God can teach us to endure—even when we don’t understand (James 1:3). It is often in the seasons when God says “no” that we are forced to pursue God more earnestly.
6 de mar. de 2017 · God always has our ultimate good in mind, which means he will pry the idols from our hands. He does this not because he is cruel or depriving us. He knows better than we do, and his “no” is always merciful, even when it hurts. He is for us, fighting against what will keep us from him (Romans 8:31).
Not that God is unable to hear, for He is omniscient, but that He maintains His distance when we allow sin to be a wall between us. Major disobedience sets us up for long-term unanswered prayer: When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the Lord will not answer you in that day."

The great hymnist had discovered a powerful truth—when God says “No” we can praise and glorify Him, for by faith we believe He knows best. We should praise Him for watching out for our good, for saving us from unwise choices, and for keeping us under His gentle discipline.

13 de ago. de 2019 · His death is a fitting reminder that when a man of God dies, nothing of God dies. Though some dreams remain unfulfilled, a man or woman of God can respond to His "no" with praise, thanksgiving, and intercession ... because when a dream dies, nothing of God's purposes die.
