Ash Ra Tempel, desde 1977 Ashra, [1] es un grupo musical alemán inscrito dentro de la corriente krautrock alemana y de la denominada Escuela de Berlín de los años 70. [2]
Ashra was a musical ensemble founded by Manuel Göttsching in 1976, initially to facilitate his solo career although other members were included later on. The band's name is an abbreviation of the name of Göttsching's previous band, Ash Ra Tempel.

The group was originally founded by the guitarist Manuel Gottsching, the percussionist and drummer Klaus Schulze and the bassist Hartmut Enke.
