Bernard Delfont was born on 5 September 1909 in the Russian Empire. He was a producer and director, known for The Benny Hill Show (1957), The Royal Variety Performance 1974 (1974) and Hancock (1963). He was married to Carole Lynne. He died on 28 July 1994 in Angmering, Sussex, England, UK.

Bernard Delfont (1909-1994) began his career in theatrical management in 1949, having previously been a dancer, agent and impresario. During the late 1940s he took over the London Casino (later the Prince Edward Theatre) and began a collaboration with Val Parnell, who controlled the London Palladium.
According to his biography ( East End, West End, 1990), Bernard Delfont was paid the sum of £2 to perform a dance number in front of John Logie Baird's experimental TV camera as a demonstration for a small audience of Baird's potential backers.
