Shai-Hulud (Arabic: شَيْء خُلُود Shayʾ-Khulud) is the Fremen term for the sandworm of Arrakis. As with many Fremen terms and words, Shai-Hulud is more than a descriptive term for a physical entity.

El gusano de arena es una forma de vida ficticia del planeta desértico Arrakis del Universo de Dune de Frank Herbert. Apareció por primera vez en la novela de ciencia ficción de 1965 Dune .
