1 de jul. de 2024 · Buck Owens was an American singer-songwriter-guitarist who helped popularize the “Bakersfield sound,” which reinvigorated the hard-edged honky-tonk tradition in country and western music in the 1960s at a time when country music’s establishment in Nashville was producing hits that were “sweetened”.
With Buck Owens now a national TV star, Capitol flooded the market with nine LPs between December 1969 and February 1971. Three were reissues of earlier albums, along with a new gospel album, a live album, three new Buck studio albums, and a Christmas LP.
