Aluf Tomer Bar (Hebrew: תומר בר; born 1969) is an Israeli general currently commanding the Israeli Air Force. Before his selection to succeed Amikam Norkin as commander of the IAF, Bar served as head of the IDF Force Design Directorate, a reorganized version of what was once the Planning Directorate .

4 de jul. de 2022 · Major General Tomer Bar has replaced Major General Amikam Norkin as the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force. Maj. Gen. Norkin has served in the position for the last five years and will be concluding 37 years of service in the IDF.
Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, who oversees the development of new combat and weapons techniques, will replace Amikam Norkin as air force chief. The IDF also announced four other promotions to the General Staff, including the head of the Northern Corps and the C4I and Cyber Defense Directorate.
