Viola Amherd (Brig-Glis, cantón de Valais, Suiza, 6 de junio de 1962) es una política suiza. Fue elegida para el Consejo Federal de Suiza el 5 de diciembre de 2018, siendo la octava mujer elegida para este cargo.
Viola Patricia Amherd (born 7 June 1962) is a Swiss politician who has served as a Member of the Swiss Federal Council since 2019, and as President of the Swiss Confederation for 2024 since 1 January. She is the head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport.

The Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) is responsible for the security of the country and its population. The department has been headed by Viola Amherd since the beginning of 2019.
