Secret GET SMART Locations. Although Get Smart was set in Washington DC it was filmed in Los Angeles. Strangely four different locations of Control Headquarters were used in the opening sequences of the original tv series, not to mention the follow up movies, the 1995 Fox tv series or the references to the location of Control used in the show.
The opening credits are a sequence of Maxwell Smart going through a seemingly endless series of doors to reach CONTROL headquarters. The closing credits are of Smart leaving CONTROL through the same doors, but he changes his mind about leaving and starts back toward the CONTROL entrance.
