15 de feb. de 2022 · It might be assumed that a risk-taker is reckless or careless, but in reality, risk-taking is a skill that students need to develop in order to become well-rounded adults who are decisive and confident. To call an IB student a risk-taker is a compliment.
Learner Profile: Risk-Taker is to approach unfamiliar situations and uncertainty with courage and forethought, and have the independence of spirit to explore new roles, ideas and strategies. It is to be brave and articulate in defending their beliefs.

The profile aims to develop learners who are: Inquirers; Knowledgeable; Thinkers; Communicators; Principled; Open-minded; Caring; Risk-takers; Balanced; Reflective ; Find out more about the learner profile in a workshop for IB teachers.
In other words I think a risk taker in school is someone who thinks outside of what he or she knows and doing things where consequences are unclear, to improve knowledge and understanding.

15 de jun. de 2023 · Being a risk-taker. One of the attributes that I like to emphasize is being a risk-taker. It is important to keep this in mind if you want to succeed in your professional career. In my own case, my lack of an engineering background did not deter me from trying to create and run a product.
