Tom started his acting career under the guidance of his father's directing, in a re-telling of the Gullivers Travels TV production, when Tom was just 11 years old. After returning to schooling, Tom attended the prestigious Winchester College but dropped out before he completed his A-Levels.
Thomas Sidney Jerome Sturridge (born 5 December 1985) is an English actor. His early films include Being Julia (2004), Like Minds (2006), and The Boat That Rocked (2009). He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performances in Orphans (2013) and Sea Wall/A Life (2020).

Tom Sturridge was born in London, England. He is the son of actress Phoebe Nicholls and sometime-actor and full-time director Charles Sturridge, and the grandson of actors Anthony Nicholls and Faith Kent. His maternal great-grandfather, Horace Nicholls, was a prominent photographer.
