North Court. North Court was constructed between 1911 & 1914. Its architect was Leonard Stokes, who had just completed the New Lecture Rooms for the College (now the Library). He fused Arts & Crafts designs and Tudor & Baroque styles to create a unified court.
Our 120 postgraduate rooms, houses & apartments are either on–site or located around central Cambridge, near to the University Faculties. College rooms are provided as part of a package which includes access to Hall and the Cafeteria, as well as all central College facilities.
First years at Emmanuel reside in North Court, South Court and New South Court. C ollege accommodation on the main site is arranged in a traditional collegiate manner and on some staircases there are Fellow's studies, which are used for supervisions, as well as student study bedrooms.
It has been claimed that the college has the only privately owned subway (underpass) in the UK, connecting the main site to North Court, but in fact Oriel College, Oxford, has its own tunnel beneath Oriel Street linking the Island Site with the main college buildings.

North court rooms are quite large making them good value for money. Emmanuel offer onsite accommodation for all 3 years of your degree and all of the rooms have a mini-fridge included.
