Al Cohn (November 24, 1925 – February 15, 1988) was an American jazz saxophonist, arranger and composer. He came to prominence in the band of clarinetist Woody Herman and was known for his longtime musical partnership with fellow saxophonist Zoot Sims .

The Compositions of Al Cohn is a 10" LP by jazz musician Miles Davis, recorded on February 19, 1953 and released later that year on Prestige, his third album as leader for the label, and fourth altogether, following 1952's Young Man with a Horn for Blue Note.

Sadly he died in 1988, but his performance at the 1986 Oslo Jazz Festival in Norway is documented on this live recording.
