Settled in 1642, it was incorporated in 1646 and named for Andover, England, home of many of the early colonists.
Andover is a town in Massachusetts with a population of 37,000 (2020). It is situated at the crossroads of I-495 and I-93 in the heart of the Merrimack Valley. North Andover is a small town on the banks of the Merrimack River.
