Danzig. Glenn Danzig was the original vocalist and songwriter for the legendary horror punk band, the Misfits. He formed Samhain after leaving the Misfits in the early '80s before forming Danzig in 1987 and forging ahead into the metallic realm.

Danzig. An American heavy metal band from Lodi, New Jersey, formed in 1987. Danzig morphed out of the goth punk band Samhain after vocalist Glenn Danzig was introduced to producer Rick Rubin. Rubin was interested in working with Glenn, but not with Samhain so the duo set about forming a new group.
