Powder River is a 1953 American Western film directed by Louis King and starring Rory Calhoun, Corinne Calvet and Cameron Mitchell. The screenplay was written by Stuart N. Lake, who two years later was the story consultant on the ABC/Desilu western television series, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp.

27 de abr. de 2022 · Rory Calhoun is Chino Bull, descended from a long line of lawmen but eager to stop living by the gun now that he’s in gold country with partner Johnny Slater. But while Chino is buying supplies in Powder River, someone kills Slater and snatches the gold.
Ex-marshal Chino Bull has hung up his guns until his prospecting partner is shot dead. Chino then takes over as the law in town, forming a friendship with gun-man Mitch Hardin and making enemies of the Logan brothers.
Rory Calhoun gives an okay performance in his role as Chino Bullock, the marshal who isn’t that determined on finding out who is accountable for murdering his partner, while Cameron Mitchell is alright as Mitch Herdin, the doctor who doesn’t have long left to live.
