However, Granny, who has strong feelings about the Civil War and other 19th-century events, is supposed to be in her 80s. She's Jed's mother-in-law after all, who is no spring chicken himself, as Granny would say.

9 de may. de 2024 · Irene Ryan was born Irene Noblitt on October 17, 1902 in El Paso, Texas. She was the younger (by 17 years) sister to Anna, and the daughter to the former Catherine J. McSharry — who had emigrated to the United States from Ireland — and James Merritt Noblitt, an army sergeant from North Carolina.
Life and career. Ryan was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, on July 5, 1899, to Edward and Hannah (née McGeehan) Ryan. [citation needed]He teamed with wife Irene Ryan, who later played Granny on The Beverly Hillbillies, as "Tim and Irene," an act who performed on Broadway, in films and on radio. They appeared in short films for Educational Pictures in the mid-1930s based on their vaudeville act.
