In the episode, Barbra Streisand obtains the Diamond of Pantheos from Stan, Cartman, Kyle and Kenny, and transforms into a giant mechanical dinosaur called Mecha-Streisand. She is ultimately defeated by The Cure frontman Robert Smith, who himself transforms into a giant moth monster.
Mecha-Streisand: Directed by Trey Parker. With Mary Kay Bergman, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Isaac Hayes. Barbra Streisand comes to South Park after she learns that the boys have discovered a mysterious ancient stone.
As Mecha-Streisand, she is based on the robot monster, Mechagodzilla from the Godzilla franchise. In the first episode, she is based on the original version of the monster from the 1974 film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla and its immediate sequel Terror of Mechagodzilla in 1975.
