Severn School students come to us from nearly 30 different zip codes around the area. Students are driven to school, arrive by carpool, drive themselves, walk, bike, and take advantage of the morning bus. Choose what works for your family and we'll support you in every way we can.
Severn School is a community of learners. As adults, it is our responsibility to model the qualities we wish to see in our students. To that end, we support our faculty with consistent professional development, both on and off-campus. Our teachers are the heart of Severn School.
In order to determine appropriate courses and levels for all new to Severn Upper School students, we will offer in-person placement tests at Severn (Creeden Hall) on the following days: Dates and Times: April 30 - 3:30 - 6 p.m. May 1 - 3:30 - 6 p.m. May 4 - 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Get-to-Know-You-Family Meetings - MAY 2024
The school operates on a “long morning and short afternoon” principle. Lessons are 55 minutes in duration although some of these are taught in “doubles”. The structure of the day is as follows:
